I'm Vanessa Harrison.

I'm a born and raised East Texan graphic designer, illustrator and lettering artist based in the great white icebox known as Minnesota. I love to learn, and find joy in developing new skills and perfecting old ones. The above quote is something my dad used to tell me when I would stress call him during my college days. It's become a mantra for me over the years, and serves as an encouraging reminder when I find myself outside of my comfort zone. The best part of being a designer is that I'm rarely bored, as I'm always getting the opportunity to try new programs or learn how to do something more efficiently, and on days when it's a little harder to enjoy those challenges, my dad's words always see me through.

 

Drawing is my happy place, and I especially enjoy projects where I get to utilize my illustration and lettering skills. I have over ten years of working experience as both an in-house and remote contract designer, and enjoy taking long walks to my coffee maker. Over the past few years I've had the opportunity to brand events, create logos, develop copy and art direction for national and global campaigns, and illustrate fun lettering projects for both corporate and nonprofit organizations. When I'm not working, you'll find me watching New Girl or Parks and Rec reruns, dream scrolling on Zillow, or playing with my mother-in-love's boxer, Shelby.​
